Xinguang Road, the stepped green-terraced building

Terraces stack up floor by floor with trees growing on them, so from a distance it looks more like a hillside than a library. Inside, reading rooms stay bright with natural light, and visitors can walk in and look around. At the top is the Xinwan Garden, lit up in the evening and popular with couples. With solid air-conditioning, it is a good place to wait out the midday heat.
