Past the entrance hall a long avenue opens up between eight pagodas, ending at a bronze seated Buddha that reaches 108m including its base. It gets bigger with every step and everyone ends up stopping to stare. The main hall holds a Buddha tooth relic shrine and Buddhist art galleries, cool and shaded on a hot day. Add the Fo Guang Shan monastery next door and half a day disappears.
