Cars and people pack onto the boat at Seongsan, Sunrise Peak slides away behind you, and you're there almost before you've sat down. The coast road is only about 17 km, so half a day on an e-bike covers it. Seobin Baeksa beach is made of white rhodolith nodules rather than sand, which turns the water a vivid jade, and from Udobong in the south you look straight across the strait at Seongsan Ilchulbong. Pedal past stone-walled peanut fields and seaside cafés, and stop for the island's peanut ice cream.
