This is the place to remember when it rains in Jeju City and the plan falls apart. Room by room you get things the island really used, from prehistoric pottery to Joseon-era finds. Haenyeo diving tools and the stone dol hareubang stand right in front of you, and the permanent exhibition is free. When you are done, walk out the back onto the Sarabong trail to clear your head. Half a day from Jeju City is plenty.
