Aewol-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si (Gwakji Beach to Handam)

The path starts at Gwakji Beach, passes Handam and carries on toward Aewol. Blue sea on one side, black basalt and stone walls on the other. It takes an hour on foot, but a seat at one of the cafés on the way turns it into two. Around dusk people gather to watch the sun drop into the water. It runs into the Aewol café strip, so it suits a west-coast afternoon.
