A few boats gilded in mock-Ottoman style are moored at the quay, smoke rolling off grills on deck. However the boats pitch, the cooks keep slapping grilled mackerel into bread with onion and lettuce and handing it up. You eat on low stools on the quay, squeezing on lemon and shaking on salt. Diners paid 200–225 lira each in 2025.
