Waikiki's biggest resort is a small town of towers, pools, shops and a lagoon. The Rainbow Tower with its rainbow mosaic is the landmark, and the wave-free Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon out front is great for kids. On Friday nights fireworks go up over the water, and some people book a single night just for that. The grounds are big enough that each tower feels different, so check the tower name when you book.
