Ask where the most expensive bed in Waikiki is and this is usually the answer. Low white wings open toward the sea, and the pool floor carries a huge orchid mosaic. At sunset the beachside restaurant House Without a Key puts on hula under a kiawe tree, and non-guests come early for tables. Most big Waikiki hotels add a resort fee of around USD 50 a night; Halekulani's own FAQ says it charges none.
