Two low blocks that once housed police officers and their families are now filled with around a hundred designer studios. Walk the corridors and the courtyard and every other door opens onto hand-thrown ceramics, leather goods or Hong Kong illustration prints. Pop-up markets sometimes fill the courtyard at weekends. For souvenirs it is far less predictable than the tourist stalls.
