A small island separated from the old town by one channel of river. The waterfront is lined with lantern shops, rooftop bars and cafés, and after dark you get the yellow houses opposite and the lantern boats in a single frame. In the old town you're inside the postcard; here you step back and see it. Lantern-covered shopfronts become photo spots every evening, and a few steps inland the lanes turn residential, with ordinary homes and small eateries.
