A long white building with green shutters runs down Ngo Quyen Street. It splits into the Heritage Wing, which opened in 1901, and the later Opera Wing, with 358 rooms in all. Guests can join the hotel's history tour, which goes down into the wartime bomb shelter and gets a lot of love in reviews. The Opera House is 180 m away and Hoan Kiem Lake a five-minute walk, so it's the obvious base for wandering the French Quarter.
