You enter through a silk shop, squeeze past the stock and come out in a courtyard of shrines, birdcages and old ceramics. Narrow stairs lead up to a top floor with a partial view of Hoan Kiem Lake. The house drink is egg coffee: strong coffee under a smooth, creamy egg foam. The building is about a century old, and some reviewers mention a musty smell on the lower floors.
