Đền Bạch Mã
The white-horse shrine, Hanoi's oldest temple
- Hours
- 8am–12pm, 1:30–5:30pm
- Tickets
- 20,000 VND (free under 16)
- Address
- 76 Hang Buom Street, in the Old Quarter
Said to date from the 11th century, the temple honours the white horse spirit that guards the city. Step off a busy shop street and you are suddenly in an incense-filled courtyard with red-lacquered pillars and a white horse figure. It is small; 20–30 minutes is plenty, and it fits neatly into an Old Quarter walk. Reports say an entrance fee began in December 2025.
