In 2016 Barack Obama and Anthony Bourdain sat on plastic stools here and ate bún chả; the table they used is now sealed in a glass case upstairs. Charcoal-grilled pork patties and belly arrive soaking in a sweet fish-sauce broth, and you dunk rice noodles and herbs into it. Plenty of people say there is better bún chả in town, but almost everyone stops by once to see the scene for themselves.
