Built in 2010, the temple's centrepiece is a 67-metre white statue of the Goddess of Mercy facing the sea, big enough to spot from My Khe Beach or the window of a plane landing in Da Nang. Climb to her feet and the whole bow of the Da Nang coast and city spreads out below. The grounds hold bonsai gardens and rows of stone statues, and with luck you'll see the peninsula's monkeys moving through the trees.
