Cross the Han River and you hit this beach, which carries on south towards Hoi An under a string of different names. It shelves so gently you can wade a long way and still be waist-deep. Locals pour in around 5am to swim and stretch, vanish once the sun gets fierce, and come back in the late afternoon. Round basket boats lie upturned on the sand and the ridge of the Son Tra peninsula closes the view to the north.
