Someone put a French-style village and an amusement park on top of a 1,400-metre mountain, and this is it. The cable car up from the valley floor takes close to 20 minutes over forest and ravines, which is half the fun. The star is the Golden Bridge: a gold-railed walkway held up by two huge, mossy-looking stone hands, and almost every review says it is bigger in person than in photos. It is noticeably cooler than the city up here and cloud rolls through constantly, so on a clear day you can see the coast, and on a grey one the far end of the bridge simply disappears.
