Of all the restaurants along colourful Nyhavn, this is the herring one. At lunch the "sildebord" lets you help yourself to twelve house-pickled herrings for DKK 195. The restaurant says White Star Line, Titanic's owner, sold tickets in this building in the early 1900s, and a window still has "New York" scratched into the glass. In summer the canal-side tables go fast.
