You walk in under bamboo that lines both sides of the path, hundreds of varieties by the park's count, and come out by the river to a four-storey pavilion, Chongli Pavilion. The well tied to the Tang poet Xue Tao and a memorial hall to her sit inside the grounds. Locals settle on benches with a book for half a day, so it feels more like a neighbourhood park than a tourist stop.
