The ground floor is coral stone and lime, the upper floor dark hardwood: this was the home of the Yap family, Chinese merchants, from the late 1600s, and descendants still look after it and keep it open. Upstairs the wide plank floors creak underfoot, and hand-carved beds, santos and old porcelain sit where they've always been. Out back is a small garden with a pond and potted plants that photographs well. Pair it with the Heritage of Cebu Monument and Casa Gorordo for a short walk around the Parian streets.
