- Tickets
- Beach free. Isla Mujeres ferry: adults 290 pesos one way, 580 return; children (age 1 to 1.20 m) 220 one way (per a guide checked 5 Oct 2026)
- Address
- Boulevard Kukulcán km 6–6.5, on the bay side facing north. Gaviota Azul is near km 9.5 by Punta Cancún, next to the Coco Bongo corner
The top stroke of the Hotel Zone faces north into the bay, and the water is a world apart from the open-sea side. Tortugas is the liveliest public beach along it: seafood places and beach bars on the sand, the Isla Mujeres ferry coming and going from its pier, even a bungee platform over the water. Knee-deep water runs out a long way, ideal for kids to splash in. For something quieter, walk the little beach at Gaviota Azul near Punta Cancún.
