A single pole with a glass cabin stands right beside the ferry terminal. The cabin rises while slowly turning, and over a ride of about ten minutes the Nichupté Lagoon on one side swaps with the Caribbean and the white hotel towers on the other. From up there you see how thin the Hotel Zone sandbar really is, and the map of Cancún clicks into place. It is short enough to slot in while waiting for an island boat.
