In 2021 the mummies of Ramses II and other kings and queens were moved here in a lavish parade. The underground Royal Mummies Hall is kept dark like a tomb, and behind glass lie faces more than 3,000 years old, hair and fingernails intact. The main hall upstairs walks you through Egypt from prehistory to now, a good way to tie together the pyramids and museums. Far quieter than the GEM.
