Used-book shops line both sides of a narrow lane, with stacks waist-high at the doors. It grew out of the stalls that sold secondhand books and school supplies to refugees during the Korean War. Old textbooks, comics, magazines and literature go cheap, and customers and owners browse spines in near silence. A few small cafés and cultural spaces have opened lately, so there's somewhere to sit. The lane is tight, so take it slowly.
