Of White Beach's 4 km, this is where the sand runs widest: talc-fine and long from the water's edge back to a line of big resorts and restaurants. Mornings belong to barefoot walkers and staff raking the beach. Towards sunset the paraw sailboats get pushed into the water one after another and the sky over the horizon goes orange. At the north end sits Willy's Rock with its Virgin Mary statue and its queue of photographers.
