Two matching domed towers, the French and German Cathedrals, face each other across the square with the Konzerthaus between them. Despite the name, the French one houses a Huguenot museum and the German one the Bundestag's exhibition on parliamentary history. After about two years of works the square is open again for strolling. By day the Konzerthaus steps are a good place to sit; in December it hosts Berlin's best-known Christmas market, the WeihnachtsZauber.
