A stand-up stall right at the top of the Mehringdamm U-Bahn stairs. The official site says currywurst has been sold on this spot since 1980. The sausage is griddled, sliced, drowned in ketchup sauce and dusted with curry powder on a paper plate. The Berlin move is choosing 'ohne Darm' (skinless) or 'mit Darm' (with casing) when you order. Mustafa's kebab stand is a few steps away, so lots of people do both in one go.
