Walk into the central hall and a Brachiosaurus skeleton stretches its neck up toward the glass roof, over 13 metres tall and among the largest mounted dinosaurs anywhere. In the next room the Berlin Archaeopteryx sits in its own case, feather marks clearly visible. A wall of preserved specimens in jars makes for an odd but striking photo. Families come in numbers, so mornings are calmer.
