You can pick old-style cakes like mooncakes and ox-tongue pastries one by one, and the tiger, panda, dragon and carp-shaped sweets are made in limited daily batches, so go in the morning. Chinese families buy the brand as holiday gifts, which makes it a good souvenir stop. Taste reviews split between 'buy it as a gift' and 'better than expected'.
