A restaurant with seven doors under an arcade, open since 1836. White tablecloths, waiters in black waistcoats and walls crowded with paintings and name plaques make it feel like an old grand-hotel dining room. The order is paella Parellada, with all the shells removed so you only need a spoon; the rice soaks up a deep seafood stock. Many add the monkfish soup with rouille. Expect about 30 minutes from order to pan.
