Two street doors ('diporto' means two doors) and no sign. Down the stairs is a cellar with a few tables and retsina barrels. There's no menu, just whatever was cooked that day, and the owner tells you what's on. Chickpea soup, grilled sardines and retsina poured straight from the barrel are the standard order. Market porters, traders and office workers share tables with strangers at lunch.
