A folk park gathering the everyday life of the Tujia, the people of the Zhangjiajie hills, in one place. You walk through carved wooden halls raised on posts and along covered galleries while guides tell the wedding stories with relish: the bride's ritual weeping before she leaves home, the groom labouring for his in-laws. You can dress up in Tujia costume for photos. Tour packages often drop in for an hour on the morning before Tianmen Mountain.
