A château-style building under a green copper roof, opened in 1939 as one of Canada's grand railway hotels. You can spot the roof from all over downtown, which makes it a handy landmark. There's a Dior boutique on the ground floor and the Vancouver Art Gallery across the street. It's often about half the price of the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
