A small bakery turning out butter tarts, Canada's signature sweet: butter, sugar and egg baked into a gooey filling in a crisp shell. Here they come straight from the oven, boxed one by one. Edges snap like caramel and the centre runs soft. The sign is easy to miss, so follow the street number. Coffee and cookies too.
