A 1960s compound of provincial civil-servant dormitories turned into a lane of craft studios, dessert shops, a small bookshop and cafés tucked into low brick courtyards. On weekend afternoons young makers spread out stalls of postcards, jewellery and ceramics, and there's always a line at the gelato shop; from the upstairs walkway you can look down the whole lane. It's compact, so an hour is plenty, ideally combined with the Calligraphy Greenway.
