Siem Reap itineraries
Angkor's big three in a day
Stand at the Angkor Wat pond before dawn, then finish the Bayon faces and the Ta Prohm roots before lunch. Spend the hot afternoon in the museum and send the sun off from Phnom Bakheng.
Two days from Wat Bo
Day one is all town, no temples: a craft workshop, the market, a riverside pagoda and the circus. Day two is the Angkor Wat sunrise and the quieter Grand Circuit temples, then lunch and the airport.
Temples, forest, lake: three days
A boutique hotel beside Pub Street and a three-day pass. Ta Prohm and the Bayon on the first afternoon, sunrise then Banteay Srei and jungle-swallowed Beng Mealea on day two, and landmine-sniffing rats, a lotus farm and the Tonle Sap stilt village on day three.
