Shanghai itineraries
Yu Garden, Bund, Tower
The three postcard views of Shanghai in one day: the garden in the morning, the riverfront at noon, the 118th floor at dusk and a boat on the river after dark. It's the loop first-timers walk most.
Bund Night, Then the Lanes
Sleep in the lanes behind the Bund. Day one covers both banks of the river; day two heads west under the plane trees. Built for a weekend flight in and out.
Jing'an, Hongkou, the Concession
See the Bund once, from across the water, and spend the rest in neighbourhoods where Shanghai actually lives: temples and museums, Yun Bong-gil's park, an old slaughterhouse, the north-bank deck, a circus, and the plane-tree streets.
