Through the door is a courtyard with a marble fountain, ringed by Mudéjar arches and Roman statues. A noble family built the house in the 16th century and the Medinaceli ducal foundation still runs it. The lower walls are covered in thousands of geometric tiles, more old azulejos in one place than almost anywhere else in Seville. It feels a lot like the Alcázar with a fraction of the people, so you can sit on a courtyard bench and take it in. In the gardens, bougainvillea climbs the walls.
