In the middle of COEX Mall's basement, the ceiling suddenly opens up and three bookcases climb well past two storeys to the roof. The top shelves are decorative and out of reach, but the books and magazines lower down and on the long tables are free for anyone to read. Tourists with cameras and people actually reading share the same benches, which feels very Seoul. Seasonal art installations add something new each visit.
