A small island sits in the middle of the Han River, right under Hangang Bridge. It used to be a sandbar nobody visited. Now it has a bookshop, a live music hall and a big lawn. Grab a book, sit on the grass, and the traffic overhead sounds like distant surf. After sunset the lights of the bridge and the far bank stretch across the water.
