The big second outpost of Tartine, the bakery that became world-famous for its sourdough. It's a factory-like space with high ceilings, light pouring through the windows and bakers working in view. Breakfast and lunch are order-at-the-counter, then sit down, so it's an easy brunch stop: pastries, croissant sandwiches and toast. Wednesday to Sunday evenings it turns into a full-service restaurant. It's calmer than the queue-heavy original on Guerrero Street, so you can actually sit and linger.
