Ask anyone in Qingdao where to eat fish dumplings and this name comes up first. The jet-black ones are squid-ink dough wrapped around springy cuttlefish; mackerel and yellow croaker round out the usual trio, and most tables order half plates of each. Reviewers point out that this Minjiang branch is the only one serving the full dumpling banquet. Add a plate of spicy Hongdao clams if dumplings alone feel thin.
