Ganh Dau Beach
Bãi Gành Dầu
Far north-west beach facing the Cambodian coast
- Address
- Fishing village at the north-west tip of the island, beside the Ganh Dau cape
Ganh Dau is a small fishing village where boats crowd the harbour beside a cape pointing out to sea. The beach curves like a crescent, and on a clear day the Cambodian coastline shows as a faint line across the water. The harbour has a market and a temple, so you end up walking the village as well as the sand. A few places sell seafood straight off the boats.
