The beach runs down the west side of the island, so the sun sets straight into the sea. Around dusk everyone faces the same way: people on beanbags at the bars, barefoot walkers, local kids kicking a ball. Most hotels are strung along this shore, so people just wander down in flip-flops at the end of the day. On a good evening the sky goes orange to pink to violet for more than half an hour.
