On Sukhumvit Rd, about 10 minutes' drive inland from Jomtien

Wooden walkways and bridges criss-cross an artificial lake, with stalls set out in zones themed on Thailand's north, northeast, centre and south. Little boats under red umbrellas paddle about cooking noodles and desserts to order. Most reviewers call it a stage set for tourists rather than a real village market, but if you can't get to the floating markets near Bangkok it gives you the look. An hour is enough to walk the whole thing.
