Cross one hill and the mood slows right down. Around six kilometres of sand runs in front of condos and seafood restaurants, with lots of long-stay Westerners and families. The beach is wider than Pattaya's and there's less hustle, so an afternoon in a deckchair is easy here. The steady breeze brings out kitesurfers and windsurfers. At dusk the beachside night market and food stalls light up.
