Japan's first Ritz-Carlton, opened in 1997. At 291 rooms it isn't huge, and the fireplaces and antique furniture of its English-manor interiors feel a world away from the Umeda towers outside. It was renovated in 2024. Entry rooms start above 40 m², and there are four restaurants including the French La Baie. Osaka Station is walkable, so it works as a base for Kyoto and Kobe day trips.
