It opened in 1953 under US rule as an 'A-sign' restaurant licensed for American servicemen, and the menu boards and room have barely changed since. The order is tenderloin steak: soup and salad first, then the steak on a plate, eaten with the A1 sauce on the table or just salt. Okinawa's habit of ending a night out with a steak grew out of places like this.
