Marrakech itineraries
One Day in the Medina
Start under the Koutoubia minaret, thread the souks, the madrasa and a palace on foot, and finish in the smoke of the Jemaa el-Fnaa food stalls. Everything that matters sits inside two kilometres of city wall.
Gardens, Hammam, Kasbah
Day one is the blue garden and a hammam out in Guéliz; day two is a quiet loop of the Kasbah and the Mellah at the south end of the medina. Base yourself in a riad near Bab Doukkala.
Medina, Atlas, Kitchen
Day one is the tanneries and museums of the north medina, day two is out to the Atlas village of Imlil, and the last day you cook your own tagine before packing up at the Menara Gardens. Sleep in a riad in the north medina.
