Manila itineraries
Walled city and Chinatown in a day
Walk inside the Spanish walls in the morning, cross the river for dumplings and lumpia in Binondo, spend the afternoon in the free National Museum, and end on the seawall at sunset. One day and old Manila makes sense.
Makati & BGC, two days
Base yourself in Legazpi Village, Makati. Day one is the gold museum, the malls and Poblacion's bar lanes; day two is BGC's wide pavements, a science museum, street murals and the American cemetery. No old Manila at all, just the new city.
Manila Bay, three days
Stay on Manila Bay, close to the airport. Day one is museums, the mall ferris wheel and a fountain show; day two is a day trip to Tagaytay with Taal Volcano in view; the last day covers an aquarium, an old garden cemetery and Quiapo Church before the airport.
